Thanks for your interest in volunteering at King and Queen of the Hill - Scottish Open 2017. We'd love to have you on board as a valued member of the events team. Helping at these events can be a lot of fun and you get a backstage, up-close experience of the event, plus an exclusive crew t-shirt of course! There are some other cool new benefits being introduced for the crew this year too – see below!
These events would simply not be possible without volunteers so any help that you can give is hugely appreciated. What we do together adds a huge amount of value and pride to the whole Tweed Valley and bike community, so remember your contribution is appreciated and respected by thousands of people across the area – not just the riders who come here to join our community for the events.
We're looking for volunteers from Monday 14th August - Friday 25th August 2017. We have a variety of volunteer activities including being involved in event and course preparation (course taping, trail prep, etc.), setting up the expo and event villages, marshalling on event days (you can't get any closer to the action) and clear up day (more fun than it sounds, honest!).
Hope you're up for it! Once you let us know your availability (below) we will allocate you a specific role on any/each day you say you can help. Once this role has been allocated you will become a very important part of the event production, so please let us know as soon as possible if your availability changes.
Crew Goodies – introducing the TweedLove Crew Mega Lottery
A chance to win hundreds of pounds of vouchers, plus a selection of other awesome prizes provided by TweedLove and our event partners.
Full details will be announced soon, but e.g. There will be a first prize of £300 of vouchers from a bike or outdoors shop. Prize list TBC soon.
Every half day volunteered gets you one ticket for our new Crew Lottery, so the more you help, the better chance you have of winning big.
If you volunteer on event day you will be provided with a packed lunch and a free entry for any Hillside Outside event within a year of that date.
If you volunteer for at least one full day, you’ll also get an exclusive crew t-shirt (choose size below).
We'll be in contact with you by Monday 7th August 2017 to confirm roles and requirements, but if you have not heard from us please don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing Volunteers@tweedlove.com. We’re particularly keen to find people able to help on race day - 20th August.
Thanks for your help.
The Tweedlove Team
The Festival takes place in various locations mainly within Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders. We hope that volunteers can generally arrange their own transport to event locations, however if this is not possible please let us know and we’ll help out out where possible.
